Teaching

I have been teaching art classes in St. John’s and Vancouver for 23 years. My philosophy is that no matter what your personal style or interest, a strong grounding in the fundamentals of realistic representation is a key foundation from which to jump off into your own creative expression. Therefore I teach the basics first – and then encourage individual expression with patient, individual attention to each student at their own level of ability. I teach you how to “see” and understand what you are seeing so you can apply what you learn to any situation. And we usually have fun while were at it!
